1968 Fender Super Reverb. The classic 4 x 10 air cannon! The amp has been completely gone over by our resident amp guru Mark Howson. Mark has been building custom amps for many years, selling under the “Gig-O-Mite” and “Parkway Special” labels.
The amp has been re-capped (main power section and electrolytic) as well as replacement of any other parts and pieces that may have drifted out of specs in its 46 year life span. The “silverface” front face plate and grill cloth was replaced with “blackface” era replicas. I have the old face plate and cloth with the metal “drip edge” which will go with the amp. The tired old CTS speakers replaced with Jensen alnico P10R reissues. I will spare you my thoughts on how this amp sounds. If you know vintage “Supers” than you know that words just can’t describe the intoxicating voice of the sirens that this amp………….well, never mind. It sounds like a ’68 Super.
Enough said….if interested:
Wow!!! That amp looks brand spankin’ new.
I heard several amps that Mark Howson’s done and his work is perfection
(mixed with a little vooddoo). Nice amp.

Yeah, it is a great amp. Mark did a great job with it. This particular Super has great midrange presence and yikes it can push the low end in a serious way! It is in great shape.
